Life in Suburbia: The Mall #3
I've been sitting here trying to think of what to say about this image, and this series, and to explain why I find it interesting. I'm having trouble putting my finger on it, or at least, I'm having trouble verbalizing what I'm thinking. There's something about these images and their bleakness that seems in such contrast to what a mall is supposed to represent — shopping nirvana. If you actually look at a mall — this one, anyway, and aside from the entry facades — the buildings are really quite industrial. Like a factory. A shopping factory.
